Wellbeing & Mental Health
Student life can undoubtedly be a fun and enriching experience, but it can also bring pressures and stresses that many people may not have encountered before. The Project at Hoxton has been created specifically to explore ways of maintaining and enhancing physical and mental wellbeing, through an environment designed to nourish a balanced lifestyle and a supportive student community.
From flexible social spaces that give students control over how they are used, to colour palettes, materials and soundscapes proven to boost mood and focus, every facet of The Project has been developed in consultation with experts in shaping life-enhancing environments. They include psychologists, neuroscientists, interior design pioneers and, of course, students themselves. Thanks to our continuous programme of feedback and improvement, The Project at Hoxton is constantly evolving, becoming a better, happier place to live, month by month and day by day.
To make the transition into independent living as smooth and rewarding as possible, we provide comprehensive guidance on finding and registering with appropriate health services, encourage proven wellbeing-enhancers such as sleep, exercise, balanced nutrition and social activity, and we ensure that anyone who needs further or professional support has access to the help that they need.
