The Best Record Stores In East London
We love vinyl at The Project at Hoxton – we’ve got a ‘Vinyl Bothy’ jam packed with records to suit every taste, as well as a DJ booth. But if you fancy getting your own records to spin on the decks, you’ll want to check out these Record Stores (and they’re all in East London).
Rough Trade East
This isn’t just one of the most famous record stores in East London, but the world. As well as being packed to the brim with vinyl, Rough Trade East have a stage that plays host to some of the best up and coming bands from around the world. Oh and there’s a cool little cafe to keep you fed and watered while you browse.

If you’re in the game for some old school records, Flashback is the place to go. Stocking mostly second-hand records, they sell everything from limited edition vinyl to bargain bucket records that you can pick up for less than £1. It’s a place to go digging, and you’re sure to leave with some pure gold!

This is one of our faves, and it’s literally just down the road from The Project. Love Vinyl, sells new and second-hand records ranging from house, techno and disco to reggae, soul and jazz. Yes, whatever your thing they’ve got it. They also have a mezzanine that sometimes plays host to special guests, so keep an eye out…

This might be one of the smallest record stores in London, but it’s full of treasures. You can expect to find regional rarities and private pressings in Cosmos Records, with a focus on jazz, soul, rare groove, psych, Latin and disco. It’s a pretty special little shop.
