Hoxton: Where to Eat & Drink
The Project at Hoxton is in the heart of East London. Not only is the area rich in history, but it is filled with some of the most up and coming restaurants and bars in London. Here are the best places to eat and drink within walking distance of The Project.
Mien Tay – It might not look like much from the outside, but Mien Tay serves up some of the best Vietnamese in London. Specialising in fish dishes, our favourites include the stir-fried green mussels with ginger and spring onion, and the seafood hotpot.
The Breakfast Club – It does what it says on the tin, The Breakfast Club serves up breakfast from sunrise to sunset (and it does some mean cocktails too!). From Avocado on Rye and Pancakes with Berries to the dirty Cabbies Breakfast, they’ve really got something for everyone.
Genesis – One of the latest plant-based restaurants to open in East London, Genesis has a street food style menu with a vegan spin – expect fried avocado tacos, banh mi hotdogs and dairy-free soft serve. The place is insta-gold too with pastel pink tiles covering the walls, and plants in every corner.
Looking Glass Cocktail Club – This Alice in Wonderland inspired speakeasy, is a great place to treat yourself to a few cocktails. Behind the huge mirror, you’ll find the room where the magic really happens and enjoy cocktails like the ‘Pool of Tears’ and ‘Turtle Soup’.
The Macbeth – As well as being a good place to grab a beer, this pub has a great music scene too. With live music and DJs throughout the week and a rooftop terrace, this the perfect place to hang out with friends.
Redemption – If you’re looking for a night out without the booze, Redemption is an alcohol-free bar that serves up some of the best mocktails in London. The activated charcoal martini is worth going for alone.
